Our Bite App – love at first bite

The Bite App shows the choice of menus available today and provides useful information about nutritional values, allergens and additives. Guests choose what to display – vegetarian or vegan. No more queueing with the Click & Collect function – guests order their food in advance, pay online with Twint or credit card and then collect their order from the chosen location at the agreed time. Additional functions: capacity display, newsfeed, CO2 diagram, coffee loyalty card and many more.

We source our ingredients responsibly and sustainably

Wherever possible, our supply chain is linked with our presence in local markets where we work together with farmers, bakers and producers. The ingredients we buy meet sustainable and responsible sourcing standards. By sourcing more local and seasonal produce, we can continue to reduce our environment impact and do our bit to support the community around our client sites.

We celebrate our chefs

We actively encourage our chefs to network and share best practices in our chef communities. This could be at the Chefs’ Round Table, where our chefs share experiences at region level, or by taking part in the Global Chef Exchange. The Global Chef Exchange offers Sodexo’s top chefs the opportunity to travel to different countries around the world, to share their native cuisine and culture abroad and to find new inspiration, with the aim of giving our customers and guests an authentic and international culinary experience.

Our fight against food waste

As one of the world’s largest caterers, we have developed a long-term initiative to reduce food waste. Using intelligent food waste measurement, our WasteWatch program makes it easier for our teams to record data about food waste in our restaurants. Smart technology enables us to modify procedures and behaviour so that we can reduce waste by up to 15% and even pass on the lower cost of goods to our customers. This avoids food waste in our kitchens and also encourages our guests to be more careful with food.

Sodexo Switzerland partners Too Good To Go

The Too Good to Go app stops leftover food in restaurants from going to waste. The app shows Sodexo restaurants where leftover food is available at a reduced price. App users then reserve the food and collect it from the restaurant.
